Why businesses choose this

Medical aid is out of reach for most workers.

Full company medical aid is expensive and hard to justify for lower-income staff who may move between jobs. So most employees go without, put off seeing a doctor, and lose work days when they get sick. PatientCare gives your team real access to private care at a price a business can actually plan for. You only spend when someone needs care.

  • No monthly fee per employee. You buy units and assign them when they are needed.
  • Nothing is wasted. Units you have not assigned stay in your company account for the next person who falls sick.
  • Staff get seen quickly by a real doctor, so they recover and get back to work sooner.

How it works

From purchase to consultation in four steps.

You stay in control of the budget. HR decides who gets a unit and when, and every unit is tracked in your company account.

  1. 1

    Buy health units

Top up your company account with health units at N$300 each. Pay by EFT, card, or invoice.

  2. 2

    Load your employees

Add your team to your company account so they are ready the moment they need care.

  3. 3

    Assign a unit

When someone is sick, HR assigns a unit and N$300 lands in that employee's health account.

  4. 4

    They get care

The employee consults a doctor in the app or in person at a partner provider.

How the money works

One unit, N$300, straight to the employee.

Assigning a unit credits N$300 to that employee's PatientCare health account. A GP consultation is N$150, and whatever is left stays in their account for other PatientCare services or to pay for medication.

  • One health unit

    N$300

Credited in full to the employee's health account the moment HR assigns it.

  • GP consultation

    N$150

A consultation with a doctor, in the app or in person at a partner provider.

  • Left to use

    N$150

Stays in the account for other PatientCare services or to help pay for medication.

Common questions

What businesses ask us.

Is this a medical aid?
No. PatientCare is not a medical aid and does not replace one. It is a pre-paid way to give your employees affordable access to private healthcare, with no monthly fee per person and no forms before they can be seen.
Do the units expire?
No. Units stay in your company account until you assign them, so you can buy ahead and use them across the year.
What happens if an employee leaves?
Units you have not assigned stay in your company account for the rest of your team. You only spend a unit when you assign it to someone who needs care.
What does a consultation cost?
Assigning a unit puts N$300 into the employee's health account. A GP consultation is N$150, and the rest stays in their account for other PatientCare services or medication.
How does an employee see a doctor?
They can consult a doctor in the PatientCare app by video or chat, or visit a partner provider in person, whichever suits them.
What about staff who already have a medical aid?
They can use PatientCare too. Employees who are on a medical aid get the same services and can claim them back from all Namibian medical aids, so your whole team benefits, whether or not they have a medical aid.
How do you stop sick notes being handed out too easily?
Every consultation is a genuine assessment by a registered doctor who decides on clinical grounds, so a sick note is only issued when it is warranted. You can add a trusted doctor to your business who gets to know your team and gives that continuity, and PatientCare runs automated checks that flag unusual patterns to keep the system fair for everyone.
Can we reward staff for staying healthy?
Yes. With Health Rewards, your team earns health points for activities like hikes, health check-ups, and internal challenges. Those points turn into PatientCare rewards such as consultation vouchers, which helps you build a healthier company culture.
Is there a minimum order or bulk pricing?
Larger orders get better rates. Talk to us and we will put together a quote that fits your headcount.
